On the iPad it connected to the HRM, but got no HR data. This happened after I had to change the batteries on the HRM as old ones were empty. After that, the TR app on the iPad just gave - - as heart rate, while e.g. the garmin computer was showing HR. What solved it was to fully reset the iPad.
Fenix 6X sapphire here, but I don't think it's the watch because the dips happen over the course of 10 seconds or so and you can see the strap reporting 130, then 125, then 121, then 118, 116, 110, then back up. I don't think that would happen if the watch was just dropping the connection. Kinda bummed to see it is happening on the HRM-Pro too.
HRM strap issue - high readings. My cardiosensor began showing 220-250 bpm. I'm reading some forums but haven't found the solution. I replaced the battery in Garmin - no changes, then replaced the battery in the sensor - no changes. Most likely, the problem was in the strap, and it started after the last wash.
It will record a heart rate that doesn't change with exercise intensity (eg HR stays at 83bpm), or lose contact or give excessively high readings. Buy HRM-PRO here HRM-DUAL. With the HRM-DUAL you get a heart rate monitor in its purest form. The HRM-DUAL only measures your heart rate and doesn´t provide Running Dynamics or other functions. But instead you get a heart rate belt with a battery life of no less than 3,5 years which is the longest battery life among all of the heart rate belts.
Garmin HRM-Dual not working after less that 1 year. Should i change the battery? The spec states battery should last about 2-3 years. Any advice?
My main concern is buying this device and then needing to replace it again in 2 hrs or after battery change - I might as well go for the Polar H10 then or even cheaper/more reliable options. I rather pay the money and stick to the Garmin ecosystem of course, but the reliability of the HRM Pro (not plus) is seriously unacceptable for the price
